Step 1 – Enter your postcode and energy use details
To discover the deals available from our participating electricity and gas suppliers listed on ShopAround, all you have to do is enter your postcode and a few details about your electricity or gas consumption. We do not list deals from all energy retailers. We only list electricity and gas deals from our participating suppliers and the government regulated rate. We cannot guarantee the cheapest or best electricity, gas or green power prices. If you choose to switch to one of our preferred suppliers via the Shoparound online service, we receive a fee from your new supplier.
Based on the information you’ve entered, we then calculate your estimated electricity costs or total gas price, any potential savings and show you just the electricity and gas offers available on Shoparound from our participating suppliers.
Step 2 – Choose the electricity or gas supplier's deal that best suits you
Participating electricity and gas suppliers are listed on the analysis table according to the criteria that’s chosen by you – whether that’s by electricity price or gas price, by supplier name or green renewable energy ratings. Once you’ve checked out the energy deals available via Shoparound and selected an electricity or gas plan that suits you, just click on “Apply” and we’ll take you step by step through the hassle free process to switch to your new electricity or gas supplier’s plan. All at no cost to you!
We are proud to offer products from Actew AGL, Click Energy, Dodo Power & Gas and Red Energy and we also show you the government regulated rate for your area. We do not list all deals from all suppliers and cannot guarantee the best or cheapest electricity or gas price. If you choose to switch to one of our suppliers online, we receive a commission from your new energy supplier.
Step 3 – Switch online!
Your privacy is important to us so we’ll only ask for your personal information once you’ve decided which electricity or gas plan you want to switch to. Once your details are entered you review the terms & conditions of the deal before making the final decision to switch. Once you’ve completed your switch, we’ll send you a confirmation email and a few days later you’ll also get confirmation by post. And that’s it! We’ll advise your new energy company of your decision to switch and they’ll arrange for your power or gas supply to be transferred over to them from your old energy supplier. Depending on the supplier you have chosen, this may be done immediately or after your meter is next read. You’ll then receive bills and charges from your new electricity or gas supplier. If for any reason, you change your mind, you have a 10 cooling off period of 10 business days when you can withdraw from the new electricity or gas deal.
